GPS torch shines directions in a new light

The tamtam Flash is one of those concept devices that seems eminently practical if its developer, Designaffairs Studio, can pull it off.
Resembling an ordinary torch, it's a GPS device that can project maps and directions onto walls or the ground. You can twist the lamp ring to zoom in and out or scroll like any digital map. As a bonus, it also can read QR codes — which look like a square barcode — so it can, in theory, show additional information stored in the QR codes displayed at points of interest.
Move over Swiss Army knife, every traveller is going to want one of these.
